MEET OUR PROVIDER

William Torres-Carbonell is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a master’s Degree from Florida International University (FIU). He graduated with magna cum laude distinction in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatry at FIU. He is also a foreign medical doctor from Cuba, graduating with honors in 2001 from Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba.

William is a compassionate psychiatric provider who enjoys collaborating with patients and families to treat and manage mental health disorders across all age groups. He has a background in neurosciences with years of experience in neurology and neurophysiology in Cuba. He also has extensive experience in community mental health services and advocacy, including past collaboration as a liaison for the Jail Diversion Program at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Currently, he is the President and lead psychiatric provider at RiseUp Health Group, his private psychiatric practice. He is also the President of WeCare Telehealth, a faith-based non-profit organization that helps individuals unable to afford medical care in Florida and other countries. William is fluent in English and Spanish and loves sports, traveling, playing piano, home projects, and spending time with his family.
